Why is the iBert safe-T-seat so great?

The iBert safe-T-seat is the safest front-mounted child’s bike seat available. The pivoting lap bar makes it easier and safer to load and unload your child. The center of gravity of the seat is closer to the bike’s center of gravity, so the bike is easier to steer and control. The 3-point safety harness keeps little ones buckled in snuggly. The seat sits between the adult rider’s arms, but behind the bike’s handlebars, for added safety.

It took me less than 5 minutes to install the T-bar on my bike.
It's the most pleasing purchase I've made in recent memory. The product is astoundingly simple and effective and the service from the iBert NZ guys was second to none.
We absolutely love it and it’s so much better than the other styles on the market that we’ve tried. Thanks again for your efficient and friendly service.
My daughter stays in a very comfortable position. By the way, she loved the new activity, and keeps asking me all the time for "MORE" when she sees the bike.
I was surprised to find the bike still has a good centre of gravity, with great balance and maneuverability.
Thanks for sending the iBert, we love it! You should see the excitement on young Morris' face when we say we're going for a ride.
I am very glad I never tried a rear seat. My son and I have a great time together on our rides, I can see him and gauge his reactions, and the bike handles great. Even with such a short stem, the iBert fits in perfectly. I highly recommend this seat.

The seat mechanism is really simple. It's just a little T-bar that you will be in contact with the bike. The seat plugs itself on this bar. The seat keeps in a perfect position. Even my long legs do not touch it when riding. I can ride my bike just like I was riding before the new passenger.
The only thing I didn't like much about this product is that it only support kids up to about 18 kgs. Well, nothing in the world is totally perfect! So there is no time to lose, I will ride my bike with my daughter as much as I can before she reaches her 18 kgs.
My son loves to ride in his iBert child bike seat. We go everywhere together!
Before purchasing this seat, I had to carefully do a deep research on the subject. I am a 6'2" guy, so, a was really concerned about having the seat hitting my knees. My neighbour has another model, which does not work at all for me, not even for him. He has to keep his legs kind of open in order to be able to ride the bike...terrible!
I spent some time researching all the well known brands and seats available. The Safe-T-Seat was the only seat I found that ticked all the boxes. We are very happy with the seat knowing Matty is safe and comfortable sitting up front with me or Sue, the seat was easy to fit and doesn't get in the way of my legs. Massive thumbs up.

This is a great way to get the kids on the trails when they are young.

The safe-T-seat is designed for children age 4 and under. The minimum age is approximately 12 months as the child needs to be able to sit up well and hold the weight of a helmet on his/her head. The approximate maximum height of the child that can use the safe-T-seat is 110 cm. Kids much taller than that may be uncomfortable. The recommended max weight is 17kg. Above this and the maneuverability of the bike may be affected.
stinger_fitted-300x270The safe-T-seat is the most adaptable child carrier on the market today. It fits more bikes than any other front mounted seat. A minimum of 19 mm is needed on the handle bar stem to accommodate the T-Bar assembly.
stingerThe patented T-Bar system attaches to your bike in just two minutes. The seat can then be attached to the T-Bar in about 30 seconds. And taking off the seat is just as quick.

Buy a second T-Bar assembly for another bike and you can switch the seat between the two bikes in a matter of seconds.

Yes and no. The safe-T-seat is designed to meet all 1625-00 standards, which it does. But ASTM 1625-00 is written for rear child carriers so front mounted seats do not apply at this time. One of the goals at iBert Inc. is to petition and work with the ASTM to create a new ASTM standard for all front mounted seats that is above ASTM 1625-00. The recommended weight determined by this standard is 17 kg.
Yes. The British Standard is the safety standard for child seats for cycles. There are 5 main areas the seat was tested for 1) construction, 2) strength and durability, 3) attachment of the seat to the cycle, 4) restraint system, and 5) foot guarding and retention. The safe-T-seat has been tested through an independent testing lab and passed all categories of the standard. This standard has determined the max weight to be at 17 kg. The manufacture and composition of the seat itself has not altered. This weight has been determined from a maneuverability perspective.
